We are happy to report that Booksmart in conjunction with Blurb is producing the best and most flexible vanity printing we have seen. You can produce an Aperture like monogram edition all the way  to a coffle table hardcover. They combine great binding and printing with flexibility. Check it out www.blurb.com

Film Developing

 I. Wunder Photographic's uses a modified approach to water jacketed roll tank developing, which is proving to be far superior to all other forms of film developing for B&W roll film. This process allows for all types of film to be developed at the same time and all film to be inspected easily. It assures even film developing, full film speed, fine grain, and optimum shadow detail with whatever fresh developer is used. One shot standard film developers being offered are Tmax-RS, D-76, DD-X, and our all time favorite F76+. All other film developers are in stock and are available at a higher price. If you would like to know more, please read further at the Processing Page on this web site.

Film Update

The big film update is that there will be a lot less film to shoot in the future. Agfa going out of business, Kodak's announcement of product cancellations, and as we hear it Ilford's not doing to good either, surly is signaling the end of silver based photography as we knew it. Thank goodness there's really good digital cameras out there and getting better. We have stopped carrying film.

Supplies

We carry portfolios, presentation boxes, negative files, and archival supplies. We have added a very nice line of framing options as well and are adding new products as we find them to help our customers in fine print making and presentation. We also have started carrying "Pin-Hole " body caps for Nikon and Cannon SLR's.

 Ink Jet Printing

Ink Jet printing has come a long way in the last five years. We're on the second generation of the 12 color RGB and CMYK printers with three entries into Grand Format printing. Between the Canon, HP, and Epson, we find the Epson to be the most reliable and trouble free. The output of all these printers are getting to be so close it's hard to tell the difference. Epson is also releasing a 12 color and we bet their going to show the other manufactures how to finally do it right. We find the output of our new Epson 11880 to be gorgeous, better then their predecessor. Papers are only getting better. The range and quality are great. I must say though, ozone sensitivity is still an issue and one reason silver gelatin prints are more durable. What's exciting these days is the large choices of substrates to print on. We are just starting to coat our own metal and other material to offer our clients. Check back to see examples as we tune up our equipment.

 Ink Jet Coatings

Protecting ink-jet prints is a big issue. Between ozone, moisture, and physical damage to these prints, the choice of coatings and the manor their applied is important. That's why we have put in a 9' spray booth equipped with state-of -the-art HVLP equipment. We carry 4 surfaces of aqueous and 2 kinds of solvent coatings for everything from rag and canvass to metals.

Mounting and Lamination

We have added a Seal mounting and lamination machine designed to handle all ink-jet material. We can also mount any kind of wood, metals, and plastics together to form a "Mixed Material" art piece up to 2" thick. Come check out the possibilities for unique display and presentations of your work.
